Yoojo review: how it works, costs and referrals

What to examine before booking

Define the job before comparing prices

Prices are only comparable if the services are comparable. Describe the task, number of items, address, accessibility, estimated duration, available equipment and expected outcome. For furniture assembly, for example, the presence of the instructions, the number of items of furniture and fixing them to the wall alter the scope. This method applies to every category without assuming a price.

Use the platform's messaging service to clarify any missing points before booking. If the job changes, ask how the amendment will be handled within the Yoojo journey. An oral agreement made outside the platform is more difficult to reconcile with the summary and applicable terms.

Then compare several profiles using consistent criteria: description, stated skills, visible ratings, availability and final price. A rating alone is not a substitute for reading the comments or checking suitability for the job.

Understand the cost without inventing a price

The cost depends on the requested service and the summary presented. Before paying, separate the price of the service, any displayed social security or service components and any option offered. This article does not set an average amount because the referral page cannot be used to infer the price of a job.

The advertised discount of 3 euros for the referred customer's first service reduces the total if all conditions are met. It does not automatically make Yoojo cheaper than another option. Compare the total after the discount with an offer covering the same scope.

For the referrer, the advertised 5% is calculated on the amounts paid by referred customers, excluding social security contributions according to the official page. Registration without a paid service therefore does not produce the same result. The reward is presented in a Yoojo balance: check its use and status in the account before treating it as available.

Monitoring a service

1. Keep the approved description and booking summary.
2. Check the provider's identity through the process specified by the platform.
3. Report any difficulty promptly using Yoojo's tools.
4. Document the outcome with facts and photographs if required by a procedure.
5. Only confirm completion after checking the service.

The ‘trust and safety’ or cover pages provide a general framework. The precise guarantees, exclusions, limits and time frames must be read for the relevant booking. This article does not turn their existence into a promise of compensation.

Common mistakes

• Booking with an overly vague description and then disputing an item that was never defined.
• Comparing two prices for jobs with different scopes.
• Moving away from the platform's messaging service or payment process without understanding the consequences.
• Choosing solely on the overall rating without reading the profile.
• Counting the referrer's 5% before the referred customer has actually spent anything.
• Presenting the balance as a bank transfer without checking how it can be used.
• Using the testimonial published by Yoojo as representative evidence for all users.

Refer responsibly

Send the link to someone who has a genuine need and explain that the reward depends on a first eligible service. Do not promise provider availability, a price or an outcome. To track the journey correctly, distinguish between the link being sent, registration, a paid service and balance credit.

Is the referral offer worthwhile?

The referred customer's reward is small compared with the potential cost of a service, so it should not be the sole reason for booking. For the referrer, the advertised percentage depends on referred customers' actual spending and remains credited within the Yoojo ecosystem. Check the nature and use of the balance before recommending the service.
