The CANAL+ referral program is an active scheme, fully centralized on a dedicated page where the referrer picks up a unique code and then passes it on to the person they are referring. That person uses the very same code, on the same page, to sign up for an eligible CANAL+ offer.
Eligibility on the referred person's side rests on several conditions that all need to be met together. They must take out a new CANAL+ subscription in mainland France, with a two-year commitment, meaning twenty-four months plus the current month. They must not have been a CANAL+ subscriber during the month before their new sign-up, and must not have cancelled a previous subscription during the initial trial month. Certain offers are explicitly excluded from the scheme, namely Flash Sales and the CANAL+ Friends & Family offer.
On the referrer's side, eligibility requires holding an active CANAL+ contract with a twelve- or twenty-four-month commitment; commitment-free offers do not allow the holder to refer anyone. The referrer must also have no outstanding unpaid balance on their account, and must not have already requested to cancel their own subscription.
The process happens in three steps. The referrer first goes to the dedicated referral page to get their unique code. They then share that code with the person they want to refer. The referred person, in turn, goes to the same page, enters the code they received, and completes their sign-up for an eligible offer.
The program has one clear limit: each CANAL+ subscriber can refer at most three people per year. There is also an important safeguard around when the referrer's benefit is granted: it is only awarded once the referred person's contract has been received and actually activated, and the offer becomes void if the referred person exercises their right of withdrawal.
